Congratulations to our 2016 Big Horn Rodeo Circuit Rodeo Queen, Scotlyn Flitner!

  • Pants should be clean, no holes, absolutely no low rise pants or blue jeans. Shirts should be long sleeved, appropriately sized and tucked in.
  • Show proper horsemanship in the arena as well as outside. No abuse or roughness of horses or other animals will be tolerated.
  • Be polite and act like a lady.
  • Sending thank you notes to individuals and businesses that donated to the contest is a requirement. A list will be provided for you.
  • Please keep a positive attitude. Be a grateful winner and gracious if you are not selected. Support others and congratulate those that are chosen.
  • No alcohol, tobacco or use of illegal substances will be tolerated. If you are caught participating in these types of activities, your title will be forfeited.​

Most importantly, have fun and we look forward to having you represent the Big Horn Rodeo Circuit!!

Official Rules

  • Must be at least 14 years of age
  • Anyone from Wyoming can compete
  • Competition consists of a horsemanship competition, interview, modeling, speech & impromptu question
  • Pattern for queen (see attached)
  • Speech is 2 minutes, topic is Rodeo in Wyoming
  • You must reside in Wyoming.
  • You must be able to appear in the at least 4 of the Big Horn Rodeo Circuit rodeos, 1 of these being the Grand Finale Rodeo on Labor Day in Meeteetse. In addition, we strongly urge you to appear in any other rodeos or parades in the local area to help advertise for the Big Horn Rodeo Circuit.

  • You are required to wear your tiara, sash, buckle and western attire during the rodeo and parade.
  • You are required to help take money at the gate or provide other help to Rodeo Staff, at any of the BHRC rodeos you attend.
